Many, many times, whenever someone asks me about my art of fetish photography, the subject of those photographers who have inspired me over the years often comes up in the discussion. One name that you will hear me mention quite often is Helmut Newton.
Helmut Newton was a German-Australian photographer who was born in Berlin, Germany on October 31, 1920 and who died on January 23, 2004. To be honest, I can not recall the very first time that I was introduced to his work. But I do know this...I was immediately enthralled by his work. Helmut's work is really difficult for me to describe, but I think that I can best describe it this way...it grabs you, holds onto you and makes you pay attention. And it leaves an impact. And I believe that this is something that goes to the very foundation of art...it grabs your attention and leaves an impact on you. I hope that work does the same for someone out there.
Here is a clip that I found about Helmut Newton on Youtube. I enjoyed it and I hope that you will too. At the very least, you will have an understanding of one of my artistic influences.
