The Wooden Cow is Closing May 27, 2011

The Wooden Cow Gallery, of which I am a co-founder and co-owner, will be closing on May 27, 2011. Although the business is continuing to pay its way, the decision was made to close and pursue other endeavours.

Today is my last shift working here at the gallery and I'm quite sad about it. Feel free to stop by and say hello. This week will be your last opportunity to see my work on display here, but I will continue to do art here in Albuquerque and elsewhere.

Power of Place Opening at The Wooden Cow

I hope that you will come by The Wooden Cow Gallery this Friday night, March 4, 2011, which is the opening of the "Power of Place" photography show. Yours truly has a piece in this show (it has been a while since I have had an opportunity to have art in one of our First Friday shows) and I am quite excited about it. The name of the piece is "Heartache," a photograph of the Oklahoma City Memorial that I shot while I was in Oklahoma City a few years ago.

There are 26 artists and 50 photographs in this juried show, which was juried by award-winning photographer Robert Medina Cook. There are truly some spectacular pieces in this show and you really do not want to miss this show!

The opening is from 5 pm - 8 pm and the show runs from March 1 - March 26. I hope to see you there!

"Heavy Metal" Opening at The Wooden Cow - 05/07/10

"Urban Views:Capturing City Life" Show at the Wooden Cow Gallery

I'm heading out to the Wooden Cow Gallery in just a short while to start hanging art for our upcoming show, "Urban Views: Capturing City Life." You can start viewing the art on Wednesday and the opening reception is Friday April 2, 2010 from 5 pm - 8 pm.

"Urban Views:Capturing City Life" is a photography show juried by Albuquerque local photographer and author Kim Ashley. We have photos from 21 local photographers, (including yours truly) and the show will run through April 30, 2010. You can also read more by picking up a copy of today's Albuquerque Journal and turning to the first page of the Arts section.

It's been quite a busy few weeks for me and I'm quite happy about that. I would love it if you would come out and visit the rest of the Wooden Cow Gallery artists and I for our First Friday opening reception on April 2. At any rate, come by and check out the wonderful art that we have for you!
